The Book of Benjamin

 Author Benjamin C. Graham

Benjamin Graham aka Bigmouthben gives us an account of his spiritual journey in life. From a homeless crack addict to a prominent business owner.

"Mr. Graham, do you need help with any mental issues?"

"Yes, ma'am. I was diagnosed as major depressive disorder."

"Okay, where do you live?"

"Ma'am, I'm homeless as of now. They arrested me near the bridge I was sleeping under."

Thank you Ben for the support you showed me when I stopped in your storefront for a hotdog. It was Easter Sunday morning and I had just come from church. You shared your story at a time when I needed a friend. I'm grateful for your generosity and strength of spirit. I hope to see you again soon. love, Katie

I was really impressed with Ben's life story. His life on battling addiction and homelessness and how he overcame those things really inspired me to dream big. I hope i can utilize my skills to positively impact Atlanta's homeless population.

As a guest speaker at the GSU Honors College, Benjamin was passionate, eloquent, and informative for all participants. His narrative provides powerful lessons with a compassion for those less fortunate. Benjamin is truly inspirational and I am fortunate to have met and learned from him.

Ben did an incredible job connecting with our middle school students. He engaged them in his life experiences and tried to impress upon them the effects mental illness and the importance of having a support system. I hope he's available again next year!

"I was inspired by Ben's story. I think he was good at talking and connecting with us. It was nice to know how he was able to change after all of that."
"I really like Ben's presentation and I was impressed that he went from sleeping under a bridge to owning his own shop! I also thought his story was great and he did really well telling it to a lot of middle school students."
